We’ve been quietly building something new on Hyperliquid. Here’s a first look at Hypercall - an on-chain options venue for every asset on Hyperliquid. Over the past 6 months we've been busy building a best in class on-chain options experience 🔊 Sound on
2/ Back in 2018, I started using Deribit, watching first-hand how Deribit evolved from its earliest days: launching with only options, ahead of enabling portfolio margin on top of perps. That changed everything. Bitmex started losing market share and Deribit started gaining.
3/ I've always been a fan of options due to: - options being the cleanest way to define risk - great tool for expressing very specific market views - yet, they only really shine once you have futures/perps alongside them + portfolio margin That view hasn’t really changed.
4/ Lots of years have gone by, and many iterations of decentralized options have been tried. It's ben clear what's missing: options markets have needed incredibly liquid perps venues with real margining that actually is CEX-quality.
5/ Hyperliquid changed that now. You get a real matching + risk engine, portfolio margin, and an actually good trading UX. There's finally room for a decentralized options venue, using composability of HL.
6/ Excited for the team to share more about product details and margin/risk design soon. For now: if you trade options, run a vault, or care about this part of market structure, reach out!
