However, the same qualities that make off-chain transactions powerful also make them fragile.
We observed this in many votes, where a single actor rented voting power and significantly influenced the outcome.
And even when the vote is legitimate, DAOs still rely on multisigs to “honor” the result — a trust bottleneck disguised as decentralization.
Add to that the persistent issue of delegate concentration, where a handful of wallets shape most outcomes, and you get the real picture: off-chain works only when these structural risks are intentionally mitigated.
Off-chain is powerful, but only when architected correctly.
