Farcaster has quietly solved a problem that even ENS never quite cracked: giving us a reliable way to send each other crypto without needing to know exact wallet addresses.
Three separate times this week, I needed to send tokens onchain, and instead of hunting down wallet addies, I just… sent it to their @farcaster_xyz wallet . Even if it’s not their main wallet, if they’re active there, it’ll land safely and they can move it wherever they want.
In the past, I would’ve likely sent a “pls confirm best wallet” message, and when there wasn’t an immediate reply, I’d probably move on and just hope to remember later.
Now the whole flow can be seamless. A functional wallet tied into a mature social graph is insanely OP.
