Due to "Bitcoin spam":
- 500,000 people learned about PSBT and UTXO
- At least a few hundred full nodes (possibly more) are now operational
- Miners are receiving a significant amount of extra fees (increasing network security)
- Attention to BIPs is continuously rising; OP_CAT and other opcodes are being re-evaluated and discussed
- More funds are flowing into Bitcoin
Because of “Bitcoin Spam”:
- half a million people got educated about PSBTs and UTXOs
- at least a few hundred full nodes (probably more) are now operational
- miners got tons of extra fees (increased network security)
- attention over BIPs grew; stuff like OP_CAT and other op codes are being re-assessed and discussed
- more money flowed in Bitcoin
I’m open to any counter-argument for why spam is bad. Tbh the only thing I’m hearing is:
- i don’t want your files in my PC (which i get), but you don’t have to touch them
- some poor guy in el salvador is priced out of UTXOs; tbh absolutely nobody gives a shit about your guy in El Salvador;
