Since the launch of @pumpdotfun 84 weeks ago, around 160,000 memecoins have graduated from the Pumpfun, Bonkfun and Bags launchpads.
1735 of them did so last week.
This brings the inflation rate of the number of graduated memecoins at just under 60%.
Bitcoin still had an inflation rate of 100% 84 weeks after Genesis.
The difference is that bitCOINS are fungible (can be traded on a single market), share the exact same properties (100 million sats per bitcoin) and has its supply dictated by a mathematical algorithm that disregards market demand completely.
On the contrary, memeCOINS are not fungible (are individually traded) have different properties (varying supplies and different communities) and has its inflation dictated by a decentralized process that is driven by cultural events and public demand.
