I was a bit shocked to see the Pendle TVL drop 50% from $13b to $6.5b, and immediately went to Tradingview to see if there was a "1001 days Turkey" episode. But no, it's due to the Plasma launch, and the unwinding of ENA/AAVE/Pendle loop.
Pendle will introduce Plasma on their platform this week. Expecting TVL to make a comeback.
At the moment I only hold $ENA out of these coins, been thinking about picking up Pendle too, but since 70% of their TVL is Ethena related, I am not sure. Maybe someone can bull-pill me.
Joining the Pendle PT/YT army, for the first battle, I chose PT-SUSDai. Initially, I wanted to select the path with fewer PT-USDai, but the pool was already full, so I settled for PT-SUDai. (The depth is sufficient as well.)
I used 900k USDC to purchase 911,197 PT SUSDai.
It matures in 50 days; let's see how much I can earn.
According to the current rate:
1 SUSDai = 1.035491 USDai
1 USDai = 1.0249 USDC
Theoretically, 911,197 USDai = 943,536 USDai = 954,502 USDC.
Absolute profit = 954,502 − 900,000 = 54,502 USDC.
Yield during the period = 54,502 / 900,000 = 6.056% (50 days).
Simple annualized rate (APR) = 6.056% × 365/50 = ≈ 44.2% APR.
